Knowledge store - connecting an assistant

This page is for you, the model, when the handshake did not pass: you cannot
send this store requests, nor open addresses you put together, so you cannot store,
add documents or delete here. Do not pretend to, and do not call it an error or a
limit of yours. It is a setup, done once by the person, and this page says how.

What to tell the person

1. The store is there and what it holds, and that to store facts, add documents or
delete from this assistant it needs a connection, set up once in a few minutes.
2. Only the steps for the assistant they use - you know which you are; when you run
inside another product, ask them. Give the steps as a numbered list, in their
language, with every address exactly as it is here and as a link.
3. Menus move: if what they see differs, the thing to find is "Connectors", "Apps",
"custom connector" or "MCP server" in the assistant's settings.
4. After the setup: a new chat, the FactoGraph connector turned on, and
their request. The connection is this one store - no link to paste again.
5. Until then you answer from the facts only: https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/facts, when you can
open it, each fact cited by its number as its link.

The two addresses the setups use

Anyone with either can read and change the store: the person keeps them private.

This setup is the store's own connector, the MCP server above: it reaches this one
store, with no link to paste. FactoGraph's other connector, the one for every store
(/api/mcp, also listed as the FactoGraph app), reaches this store too when the person
gives it this store's private link in a chat. If they already set that one up, it is
enough: they paste the link, and nothing below is needed.
No setup below needs an account, password or key: authentication is always none.

Claude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps)

1. Open https://claude.ai/settings/connectors - Settings, then Connectors.
2. Click Add custom connector.
3. Name: FactoGraph. Remote MCP server URL: https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp. Click Add.
4. In a chat, open the tools menu (the + or slider button) and turn FactoGraph on.
When Claude asks to use a FactoGraph tool, choose Always allow.

On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner may have to add the connector first, under
Organization settings, Connectors. The free plan takes one custom connector.

ChatGPT

On a paid plan, on chatgpt.com:
1. Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced settings: turn Developer mode on.
2. Back in Apps & Connectors, Create. Name: FactoGraph. MCP server URL: https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp.
Authentication: No authentication. Tick that they trust the app, then Create.
3. In a chat: +, More, Developer mode, and turn FactoGraph on.

Only if developer mode is not available to them (a workspace admin may switch it
off), a FactoGraph GPT does the same:
1. Open https://chatgpt.com/gpts/editor, the Configure tab. Name: FactoGraph.
Instructions: all of https://api.factograph.app/api/gpt/instructions. Turn off every capability.
2. Create new action. Authentication: None. Schema: all of https://api.factograph.app/api/gpt/openapi.json.
Privacy policy: https://api.factograph.app/api/gpt/privacy. Create, saved as Only me.
3. In a chat, type @FactoGraph and pick it, then paste the store's link, https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2,
with the message - each new chat. When ChatGPT asks to reach the store, Always allow.

Grok

1. Open https://grok.com/connectors.
2. New Connector, then Custom.
3. Name: FactoGraph. URL: https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp. No authentication. Save.
4. In a chat, turn the FactoGraph connector on.

Gemini

On the web app, gemini.google.com (custom apps are not in the mobile apps, and are
in English only):
1. Settings, Connected Apps.
2. Under Custom apps, Add a custom app. Paste https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp, click Next and approve.
3. In a chat, turn FactoGraph on.

Le Chat (Mistral)

1. Open https://chat.mistral.ai, the Connectors page (under Intelligence).
2. Add connector, then Custom MCP connector.
3. Name: FactoGraph. Server URL: https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp. Authentication: none. Connect.
4. In a chat, turn FactoGraph on in the tools menu.

Perplexity

On Pro, Max or Enterprise:
1. Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector (remote).
2. URL: https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp. Authentication: None (open). Save.
3. In a search or chat, turn FactoGraph on under the connectors.

Microsoft Copilot

Copilot reaches MCP servers only through Copilot Studio or Microsoft 365 connectors,
set up by an organisation's admin: the admin adds https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp as an MCP server tool there.
There is no setup for a personal Copilot; another assistant above does it in minutes.

Coding tools and desktop MCP clients

Agents, scripts and automations

Anything that sends HTTP requests needs no setup: it runs the store's steps by API,
as the manual says (https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2), described in OpenAPI at
https://api.factograph.app/api/gpt/openapi.json - import that into an agent framework, n8n, Make or Zapier
as an API or tool. An MCP-capable framework can use https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/mcp instead.

Assistants with none of these

An assistant that cannot connect to MCP servers or APIs can only read: it opens
https://api.factograph.app/api/k/93fd7a75-8082-8342-bf27-14050b62bff2/facts and answers from it. To store, the person uses one of the
assistants above, or the FactoGraph web app.
